Orlaith is a Clinical Dietitian and has set up her new business Eat Well To Be Well. Clinics are held in The Four Seasons Hotel in Monaghan where Orlaith provides consultations for nutritional advice on an individual basis. Eat Well To Be Well also provides talks in a group setting on a variety of nutritional topics such as healthy eating, heart health, weight loss, coeliac disease, bone health and many more on request.

Orlaith is a past pupil of Beech Hill College and from there she went on to study at the University of Ulster, Coleraine, graduating with an Honours Bachelor of Science in Dietetics.  She then successfully completed a Masters of Science in Sports and Exercise Nutrition in the University of Ulster in Jordanstown. Through several years of professional clinical experience as a Clinical Dietitian in both hospital and community based settings, Orlaith has vast professional experience and knowledge in a wide range of clinical conditions. Orlaith is currently employed as a Clinical Dietitian by the South West Acute Hospital, Enniskillen.

Some of the areas Orlaith specialises in include nutrition advice for weight loss, healthy eating, diabetes, sports nutrition, coeliac disease, digestive disorders, allergies, nutrition in pregnancy, cholesterol and blood pressure lowering, heart health and nutrition support for those clients trying to gain weight.

Eat Well To Be Well provides clients with confidential, non-judgmental advice to help them achieve their personal goals.

Professional behaviour change training is used in the consultations for each client. Eat Well To Be Well provides each client with nutritional advice and tailors nutritional plans specifically to each client’s individual needs in order to ensure successful results. 

Orlaith is a member of the Irish Nutrition and Dietetic Institute (INDI) and the British Dietetic Association (BDA) and is also a registered member of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).  HCPC is a regulatory body for health professionals to ensure the highest standards in professional practice, ensuring safety for the public.  “Registered Dietitians are the only qualified health professionals that assess, diagnose and treat diet and nutrition problems at an individual and wider public health level”, BDA. All dietary advice given is up to date and evidence based.
